Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 220g 2 sticks salted butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar (cane sugar)
- 2 large eggs free range
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cup rolled oats gluten free
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375F/180C. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and nutmeg. Add the flour, oatmeal, and baking soda. Stir well to combine. Add in the chocolate chips and give it one more stir.
Using a slightly large spoon or an ice cream scoop or, drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheets, spacing the dough 1 inch apart.
Bake for about 12 minutes, until lightly golden in color. Remove to cooling racks.
